East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar, instructed his staff to continuously provide optimal services to residents, even though there are work from home (WFH) and work from office (WFO) policies under the Jakarta Provincial Government.
According to him, the implementation of WFH and WFO from August 21 to 31 refers to City Secretary Circular Number 34/2023 on carrying out official duties from home.

He explained the policy above was taken to reduce air pollution in Jakarta and all civil servants could take an important role in improving this air quality.
He also called on his staff to immediately carry out emission tests for motorized vehicles in accordance with Gubernatorial Regulation Number 66/2020 on emission tests. Then is carry out a tree planting movement on land that allows for planting crops.
"As ASN, we are also obliged to educate the public about the importance of maintaining the cleanliness and health of each other's environment," he stated.
